Sons and Brothers was initially founded through The California Endowment (TCE) for The Whitehouse's My Brothers Keeper initiative in support of our country's youth of color. Starting in 2014, we developed the brand identity with their "Sons" TCE logo. Our original intentions were to loosely pay homage to the classic Bebop Jazz era Blue Note record covers. During the rebrand in 2015, we felt it was best to abandon the skin color hues that pigeonholed our audience to very specific groups. The changeover to the current day reflects a more colorful, inclusive art direction geared towards a more youthful audience.
